kvk change alerts

KvK change alerts for the companies you follow

You do not have to open the KvK to know whether a company has changed. KVKBase compares the data every day and sends an alert with the old and the new value, by email, as a daily summary or as a webhook to your own system.

What an alert contains

Every change is its own alert: the company, the KvK number, which field changed, what it was and what it is now. If more than one thing changes on a day, you see them together in one email.

A field the source cannot provide for a moment does not count as a change. A temporarily empty or incomplete response therefore does not cause a false alert.

Choose how you receive it

By default you get an email as soon as a change is found. If you prefer an overview, choose the daily digest: one email a day, grouped per company. When there are many changes in one day, the overflow moves to the digest automatically so your inbox does not fill up.

A webhook receives each change as JSON over HTTPS. Every message is signed so you can verify it comes from us. The signature is an HMAC-SHA256 over the timestamp and the body, with a secret only you know.

  • Email per change or as a daily digest
  • Webhook with an HMAC-SHA256 signature and a timestamp
  • Retries when your endpoint is briefly unavailable
  • Choose which fields may trigger an alert

Handling an alert in your own system

The webhook fits a ticket in your helpdesk, a task in your CRM or a flag in your accounting software. Verify the signature, process the message and answer with a 2xx. Only HTTPS addresses work, and we do not follow redirects.

The details are in the monitoring documentation. If you want to read around it first, webhooks and polling for company data explains the trade-offs.

What we watch

Each watched company is compared with its previous state once a day. These are the fields that can trigger an alert:

Name
Statutory name and trade name
Address
Street, postcode and city
Legal form
For example from sole proprietorship to BV
Status
Active or dissolved
Insolvency
Bankruptcy or suspension of payments, as the source reports it
SBI codes
The registered activities
Directors
Only when the source provides them for that company
VAT number
Valid or invalid at VIES, when a VAT number is known

How alerts reach you

Email
One email per change, straight away. Or switch to a daily digest, grouped per company.
Signed webhook
Each change as JSON over HTTPS, with a timestamp and an HMAC-SHA256 signature you can verify.
API
Read your watchlist and the alert history with your API key, and export it as CSV from the dashboard.

Checks run daily, not in real time. The first check of a company is a baseline and sends no alert.

Who it is for

  • Teams that already have a list of customers or suppliers and want a signal on it
  • Developers who want to process changes in their own software
  • Anyone who wants to watch their relations without searching by hand

Frequently asked

How fast do I get an alert?
We check each company once a day. A change usually reaches you within a day of the source containing it. That is not real time and can take longer if the source lags behind.
Which changes are reported?
Name, address, legal form, status (active or dissolved), SBI codes, bankruptcy or suspension of payments, directors if the source provides them, and the VAT number validity at VIES when one is known.
Can I verify the webhook signature?
Yes. Each message has a timestamp and an HMAC-SHA256 signature over timestamp and body, using your own secret. You see the secret when you create it and when you rotate it.
Can I follow only some of the fields?
Yes. In the settings you choose which fields may trigger an alert. All of them are on by default.
What if my webhook goes down?
We retry a failed delivery a few times. If it keeps failing we switch the webhook off and send you an email about it.
